Who we are
DoodleNest makes made-to-order invitation websites and hand-illustrated clipart. You can reach us any time at hello@doodlenest.net.
This policy covers doodlenest.net and the invitation sites we host at rsvp.doodlenest.net. If you bought something from our Etsy shop, Etsy handles that order and Etsy's own privacy policy applies to it.
If you send us a custom request
The form on our home page asks for your name, email address, the occasion, an optional event date, and your message.
That is emailed straight to us so we can reply. There is no database behind this form — nothing is saved to one. We don't add you to a mailing list, we don't profile you, and we never pass your details on. We keep enquiry emails for up to 12 months and then delete them. The reason we're allowed to hold them at all is simple: you asked us something and we're answering it.
If you RSVP to an invitation we host
When you reply to an invite on rsvp.doodlenest.net you are replying to your host — the person whose party it is. They decide what happens with the guest list; we build and run the site for them, store the replies, and email each one to the host as it arrives. A copy of that email also reaches us, so we can help the host if something goes wrong with their site.
The form asks your name, email address and how many of you are coming, and on a children's birthday, the child's name too. Allergy details are optional. Share them only if you'd like the host to cater for them — they are used for that and nothing else, and you can leave the box empty and still reply.
The site and its replies come down within a few days of the event; your host is given a copy for their own records. To see, change or remove your reply, email hello@doodlenest.net and we'll pass it to your host.
Cookies and the banner
A banner asks before anything optional is set, and stores your answer so we don't ask again. It's run by Cookiebot (Usercentrics).
Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks you're not a bot. It is exempt from the banner because a form that can't tell a person from a spammer is a form that doesn't work — that's a strictly necessary function, not tracking.
Beyond those two: no analytics, no advertising pixels, no social-media trackers. Our fonts are served from our own domain, so opening a page doesn't announce your visit to a font provider.
Like any website, ours sees your IP address when you load a page or send a form, and the bot check uses it to score the request. It keeps the site up and the spam out. We don't build a profile from it and we don't look up who you are.
Who else handles your information
- Cloudflare — hosts both sites, runs the bot check, and stores RSVP replies.
- Resend — delivers our emails: your custom request to us, and each RSVP to its host.
- Usercentrics (Cookiebot) — records your cookie choice.
They act on our instructions and may handle data outside your country. We don't sell your information and we don't share it for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent you've given — including an allergy note. Email hello@doodlenest.net; if it concerns an RSVP we'll pass it to your host. If you think we've handled it badly, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top.
